Esme’s Room

Posted: Wednesday 20 June 2018 | Deborah Cairns

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new support group for people who experience visual hallucinations as a result of sight loss.

Often known as Charles Bonnet Syndrome, visual hallucinations can be vivid and silent. They can also sometimes be distressing, difficult to manage, and hard to explain to others.

Working in partnership with the charity Esme’s Umbrella, our new support group offers the opportunity to come together with others who share similar experiences.

You will be able to discuss the difficulties that visual hallucinations cause, as well as sharing coping strategies and ideas. There will also be the opportunity simply to spend time with other people who understand what the experience is like. On occasions the group may decide to invite guest speakers and professionals to share their knowledge and skills.

Esme’s Room meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 10.00 to 12.00. Please note the group will NOT be meeting in December.

Please contact us for more details.
