Indoor VI Tennis

11:30am–12:30pm, 8th January 2024

In collaboration with Rob Hodge through the York Disability Tennis Network, at the University of York Sports Centre Indoor Tennis Courts, Heslington Campus, Mondays. 11:30am – 12:30pm

(Please note this is not the Sports Village at the University).

Please bring your own refreshments. We will provide all the equipment.

These sessions are currently free, with no cost to participants due to specific Tennis funding.

The game is adapted from the full court version to a smaller court, with lower nets and using an audible ball so players can hear it bounce and being hit. Depending on an individuals’ sight level they may have up to three bounces of the ball before they must return it back to their opponent.

If you have any interest in being involved email vicky.smith@mysightyork.org or call the activities team on 01904 636269. Please let us know if you would like to attend.

Please note: The route from the bus stop to York Sport is a long and winding one. We strongly recommend York Wheels, if you have a choice. If transport is an issue The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust can award individual grants for transport to and from Tennis sessions. For more information and to fill out an application form, please visit The Dan Maskell Tennus Trust website.
