Sensory Support Survey Focus Day – Have Your Say – 29th November
City of York council is conducting a survey to find out what services people with sight loss (and hearing loss) are currently using and what they would like to see in future.
This is your chance to have your say and make sure your voice is heard.
MySight York does not receive any funding from the Council for the services we provide, so if those services are to be maintained we need to make sure the council understands the value you place on them.
This survey not only asks about the services you currently use, or have used, but also asks what you would like to see from the service in the future.
The contract for sensory services is due for renewal next year, so this is your opportunity to let the council know what works and what improvements could be made before the new service is commissioned.
The survey can be completed online at york.gov.uk/consultations, or staff at Explore libraries or West Offices can assist you to access a computer.
We are holding two Focus Days, between 10am and 2pm, where MySight York staff will be available to help you complete the form in a relaxed setting, with tea, coffee and mince pies available.
These dates are:
Wednesday 29th November
and
Wednesday 6th December
Time: 10am – 2pm
If you are unable to attend either of these dates, then please give us a call (01904 636269) and we can assist you to complete the form over the phone.
Alternatively, you can call the customer service team at West Offices on 01904 551550, leave your number and they will call you back to assist you with completion.
The survey is also asking for the views of family, friends, carers and parents of those with sensory loss, so please encourage your relatives to have their say too.
The deadline for completed forms to be returned is Monday 8th January 2024.
