Great news! We have been awarded funding by The Community Mental Health Transformation Grant Programme 2 (via the York Mental Health Partnership and ‘Connecting Our City’ Partnership), to support community mental health and wellbeing in York.

This means we can deliver our Talking Space & Community Activities Project, offering accessible mental health support for blind and partially sighted people, including specialist counselling and inclusive community activities that reduce isolation and build confidence.

Scott Jobson, our Chief Executive, said:
“Losing your sight can have a huge impact on mental health, yet emotional support is often hard to access. This funding helps us offer support that’s accessible, inclusive and shaped by lived experience.”

We’re proud to be working alongside partners across the city to make mental health support local, connected and accessible.
