Knit & Natter

10:30am–12:00pm, 28th January 2020

A great group for anyone who has given up knitting because of failing eyesight. This group is fully supported by volunteers and we are currently producing cushions, hats, scarves, blankets and crochet handbags for our hospital stall. 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month 10:30 – 12:00

Esme’s Room

A warm and welcoming support group for anyone who experiences visual hallucinations as a result of sight loss. Come along and give us a try! Meets on the last Wednesday of the month.

Exercise Group

A great keep fit opportunity, followed by a cup of tea and a catch up. Weekly on Thursdays from 10:00 – 12:00  

MySight Access group

12:30pm–14:00pm, 30th January 2020

The MySight Access group meets on Thursday 30th January from 12.30-2pm. Come and have your say on the development of our local area through the My Castle Gateway project with Dr Helen Graham. All welcome.

Boccia

10:00am–11:30am, 31st January 2020

Boccia is a fun and exciting precision ball sport, similar to bowls or petanque.  The aim of the game is to throw leather balls – coloured red & blue – as close as possible to the white target ball (jack). Followed by refreshments and a chance for a catch-up.

MySight Access group

12:30pm–14:00pm, 13th February 2020

The MySight Access Group meets on Thursday 13th February from 12:30-2pm. Maqsood Sheikh, RNIB Yorkshire and Humber’s Regional Campaigns Officer, will be coming to discuss the York Street Charter and consider the success of Street Charters in other cities. All welcome.
